Simplify Your Life and Your Bike with the Ave Stout Stem
The new Ave (Pronounced Avenue) Stout stem is designed to simplify your life.
The fashion among freestyler riders is to run a drop stem with spacers. But what’s the point of using a stem designed to lower your bars then jack them back up with spacers to get your preferred bar height? With the Stout stem, spacers, the upper headset cap and the compression ring are all unnecessary. The result is a more direct connection between the rider and the bike. Simple and clean.
The unique Stout stem is the only one with an integrated 45-degree upper headset compression ring. The ring is CNC-machined right into the bottom of the stem, making for a super-flush fit between the stem and the frame without lowering the bars any more than a traditional front-load/drop stem with spacers would.
One other benefit to using the Stout stem is weight loss. By eliminating the spacers, top cap and compression ring, the fork steerer tube can be cut even shorter, saving precious ounces.
Each stem is extruded and CNC machined in Los Angeles, California, from 6061 aluminum alloy billet. They have a 53-millimeter reach, 0-degree offset, fit 1 1/8” steerer tubes and come in black only.
