AUSTRALIAN Mountain Bike Champs

After the long trek to Mt Stromlo and back for the Australian MTB Champs, here’s some shots from the weekend

ECI’s booth was buzzing all weekend, good to meet everybody that stopped by to check us out

Congratulations to ITS & FUNN  Team rider Graeme Mudd –for taking out 1st in under 17 4x…

Ben Cory a blazing 3rd equal with Amiel Cavalier .

Ben was also running on Intense Tyre Systems, a great result for the weekend.

BMX Games

We’re back from the BMX Games. Thanks to everybody that stopped by the ECI booth to chat and check out the latest offerings.

One of the talking points were the new Fit DeHart & Cleveland frames – these are amazing looking, and refined for 09.

The team were on hand for the weekend, and between riding were sheltering from the heat in the tent. Knox Dave & Gorak  getting the sunscreen on…

One bit of unfortunate news however; Jordon Kolb (S&M) is out for a few months – a badly broken ankle courtesy of Ringwood bowl.

BSX done & dusted…

We’re back from the BSX, and thanks to all the guys at BMXUTRA.COM for a great event.
The one-on-one track was in perfect condition, and the racing tight.
Congratulations to Brian Kelly on getting through to the 30+ final while representing probably the oldest S&M Jersey still being worn!  

The great part of the day was the run-what-you-brung  flat’s only format –
What other race meeting would you see a S&M line up like this - 38 Special Cruiser, 20” RV and a Josh Stricker!

What a Week

This is certainly a BIG week for bicycles and E.C.I. Not only are we in the middle of Track Attack and Just getting over the B.S.X. from Monday Night but we are also in the process of loading the van to head off to the Mountain Bike Nationals at Mount Stromlo in the A.C.T. then loadup for the BMX Games at Melbourne Docklands. So if you are attending any of these events please drop in to the ECI stand and say Hi. If you are competing then good luck. If you are not doing either then you should be...............

Tragically, we have received news of the passing of Tasmanian rider Ed Bonnin. Not only a good bloke but an outstanding young talent, Ed was supported by Elite Cycle Imports and BlkMrkt bikes. We were priveliged to be a part of Ed's life and enjoyed the relationship that had developed between our company and Ed.

Top of the line components like Marzocchi DJ1 fork with 20 mm axle, Intense MicroKnobby tires, BlkMrkt Revolver Lite 26t sprocket, one piece 12t driver and BadaBoom 2” rise bars this Riot is ready to take a beating. The Riot complete weighs in at a modest 30 lbs while the .three57 isn’t far behind at 31.25 lbs.

This also marks the return of the much sought after .three57 complete. Built around a full CrMo chasis and proven Mob geometry. Add high grade components like a Marzocchi DJ1, BlkMrkt bar/stem combo, Revolver 30t sprocket, Brass Knuckles seat. With finishing touches like S&M logo grips, 2 color choices and sizes this machine looks as good as it feels.

The popular Brass Knuckle seat slimmed down for 09 and picked up multiple choices of materials, patterns and prints.
